Four seasons, four ways to fall for this place

From green trail days to cider weather, the year has a rhythm here.

The best way to understand a place is to spend a little time in it. Here’s a practical starting point, not a rigid itinerary.

Spring | The return of green

Look for the early colors and longer afternoons in local parks. It is also a good season to scout trails, note the access points and find a route that fits your usual pace.

Summer | Stay outside longer

Make outdoor time the main plan. Walk a trail, visit a lakeside park, or enjoy an evening shopping and dining at the Village. Check park rules for seasonal activities.

Autumn | The signature season

This is when Yates Cider Mill, wooded trails and the colors around Spencer Park really come into their own. Pick one or two stops rather than trying to do the entire region in one day.

Winter | Find the cozy side

Museums, a book from the library, a warm café and special programs can make colder months inviting. City and venue calendars are best for actual dated events.

This is an evergreen guide, not a real-time events calendar. Check venues and official sources for current dates, conditions and hours.
